About Federal Government Public High School Sargodha
The school was opened under the aegis of the cantonment board Sargodha in 1960 in a residential building. Basically it was started to cater for educational needs of the people living in cantonment area. It was later on shifted in the present building in 1965, which was a spacious one at Mela Mandi Road Sargodha.
In 1975 its control and management was transferred to the Federal Minstry of Education. In 1977 its administrative control was transferred to the Directorate of Army Education GHQ Rawalpindi .
The school is now functioning under the Directorate of Federal Government Education Institution (Cantt/Garrison) GHQ Rawalpindi.
The institution aims at Educating the youth mentally, Morally and physically with a view to make them a responsible and useful citizen of Pakistan. Being an English Medium institution it aims to provide education to cope up the challenges new era.
The school is affiliated with Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Islamabad. |
